This weekend Hubby was home so we took a drive up to the lake where we used to go boating. Zena and the kids came and we took a nice long walk IN the lakebed, that is currently 35 feet low. Zena was kind enough to pose for me in between sniffing all the neat new smells!
Some city workers were cleaning up a decrepit old pontoon deck. This used to be the deepest part of this particular channel. The gnats were thick down there!

Eventually Zena said "Mommy, I'm so hot and tired, I'm not used to walking this far! Will you please have Daddy pick me up??"
Look at that grin! She was milking it for all it was worth.
Driving further down we finally found the water.
I am mostly done with my new doxie line of toys. Well the prototype at least! I did not like how they set up the pattern and had to drastically alter it, some of it done after this prototype. This one will come with a story! Maybe they all will, I enjoy fantasy writing LOL

This is not the etsy listing photo as he is far from finished, I have to complete his "costume" that will work with his back story and hide what I see as integral flaws in his original design. Without ears and his legs splaying out the poor dear looked like a sea monster!

I'm not entirely sure if Zena approves or disapproves! She spied him sitting on the couch and thought I made her a new chewie toy, had him halfway across the living room before I rescued him!
Happy Monday, time to make a list of this weeks activities.
Zena looks so sweet on daddy's shoulder! I'm excited to see your finished "chew toy", lol.
Hannah sends Zena some doxie kisses! Have a great Monday!
